"Touch Me"


...is what the little iPod said to me in the Apple Store today, and who am I to argue? So I came home with my third iPod this year (yikes), a shiny new 16GB iPod touch. They just came out in Japan today, and I couldn't resist. I bought a slim PSP a couple of weeks ago, too, even though I already own an original PSP (okay, two). Yes...I have a problem. I cannot resist sexy new hardware. Sigh.

In other news, Halo 3 was fantastic, BioShock was a trip, and I'm still addicted to Jeanne d'Arc (though that addiction will likely switch to Final Fantasy Tactics next week). I'm gearing up to finally (yes, finally) play through Resident Evil 4 on Wii, and I'm starting to get excited for Super Mario Galaxy. Good times.

I went home with an 8GB tonight too. But I had an iPhone back in the U.S., and without it being released in Japan, the iPod touch makes for a nice substitute. :)

SMG looks so fucking good. i haven't been paying attention because i tend to ignore the games i know i'll buy, but peter foisted a couple of movies on me and it's like soooooooo nice looking. yay.

Yeah, I was really surprised when I saw the latest movies. I actually have some hope now. Also, now that we know it starts out in the Mushroom Kingdom, I'm kinda hoping they bring it back there for the last level or something (assuming the rest of the game is spent planet-hopping through space).

Good times. Nov. 1 in Japan!!

Yay you updated! Wow, Apple totally owns you. I want an iPod touch, their sooo neat. Good luck in RE4, I suck at it sooo bad.

Can't speak for Jonny, but for me personally, storage space wasn't really the point of buying an iPod touch. I already have an 80GB 5G iPod video; what I wanted from this was the new stuff. Touch screen, larger viewing space (I get a lot of American TV from iTunes since I live out here), wi-fi, etc.

So far, I'm happy with it. :)

Yeah, I was fortunate enough to be watching the news that morning (extremely rare) and they had a bit on about the lines at the Apple Store in Ginza. So I rushed out to Bic Camera (already sold out), and then on to the Shibuya Apple Store where they still had plenty left.

How about you -- any luck? Did you end up looking for it?

I just picked up an 8GB iPhone a couple days ago... absolutely love it so far. I love how the screen itself is bigger than most phones.
